St. Paul’s is happy to support the following organizations with our time, talents, and treasure.

American Red Cross

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.​ Blood drive held every January. Visit redcross.org.

ODU Canterbury Center

The Canterbury Center, an Episcopal campus ministry serving the Old Dominion University community. St Paul’s provides ODU students with lunch one Thursday during fall and spring semesters. Visit oducanterbury.org.

ForKids

Our mission is breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty for families & children. In 14 cities and counties in Southeastern Virginia, ForKids delivers quality individualized client-focused solutions designed to achieve stability for families and a lifetime of success for children. St. Paul’s provides monetary support; Fill-a-Backpack drive (52 backpacks filled with school supplies); Holiday Toy Drive. Visit forkids.org.

Samaritan’s Purse - Operation Christmas Child

Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. St. Pauls donated 32 shoe boxes filled with toys. Visit samaritanspurse.org.

Basilica of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Food Pantry/Soup Kitchen

The Basilica Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen distributes food throughout the year to individuals and families in need. We provide meals to the homeless, homeless veterans, and the poor including children who are not receiving federally funded breakfast/lunch school meals while school is not in session. St. Paul’s provides weekly sandwich making and bag lunch preparation for the soup kitchen and supported the Thanksgiving Food Drive with 28 grocery bags full of food as well as gift cards for turkeys. Embangweni Secondary School for the Deaf (Embangweni, Malawi)

Provides education for deaf students beyond the primary level, is the only secondary school in Malawi specifically serving the deaf learner. Visit embangweni.com.

Friends of Norfolk Animal Care Center

MISSION — To support the Norfolk Animal Care Center in sheltering and caring for Norfolk’s stray and homeless animals, to promote and facilitate adoptions, to assist with special needs medical care, to promote and support spay/neuter in the community and to educate the public about responsible pet ownership. Chanco on the James

Food Bank of South Eastern Virginia

Since 1981, the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, a member of Feeding America™ and the Federation of Virginia Food Banks, has been providing food for people experiencing food insecurity throughout Southeastern Virginia and on the Eastern Shore. Visit foodbankonline.org.

Jackson Field Home

The mission of Jackson-Field Behavioral Health Services is to provide high quality evidence-based psychiatric, residential, educational and recovery treatment services for children who suffer from severe emotional trauma, mental illness and/or addiction. Episcopal Relief and Development

Episcopal Relief & Development facilitates healthier, more fulfilling lives in communities struggling with hunger, poverty, disaster and disease. Our connection to our Anglican partners and local communities on the ground allows us to work in places where few others remain for the long haul and to deliver life-improving results in innovative and unique ways. We collaborate with communities around the world to address three life-changing priorities – Women, Children and Climate – creating authentic, lasting results that can be sustained by the communities themselves. Norfolk Seaman’s Friend Society

We are a non-profit 501 c3 organization that seek to provide the physical, spiritual and moral welfare of every Seafarers who visits in the Hampton Roads area. Norfolk Urban Outreach Ministry

Our goal is to meet the needs of the people of the greater urban community whose needs cannot be met by existing agencies and resources. Visit nuom.org.

Ghent Area Ministry

Ghent Area Ministry (GAM) is a collaboration of faith communities serving the marginalized residents of Norfolk. We do this out of our common commitment to justice. Visit gamnorfolk.org.

Boys Home of Virginia

A successful man has to start somewhere…. All successful men were once boys. But not all boys become successful men. Whether it’s due to a lack of positive role models, quality living circumstances, or a welcoming school environment. We provide each, so that boys can go on to be successful men. Men who will take care of their families. Men who will contribute their gifts. Men who will be role models for the next generation of men. Onesimus Ministries

Provides: ministry to those that are incarcerated, aftercare ministry to those released from jail or prison, and ministry to the families of those incarcerated. Visit onesimus-ministries.org.

Norfolk Street Choir

Remote Area Medical

Remote Area Medical (RAM) is a major nonprofit provider of free pop-up clinics. Our mission is to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing free, quality healthcare to those in need. Visit ramusa.org.

Doctors Without Borders
